Build of the Asus Zenfone Selfie Pro
Each year pass by Asus has tremendously improved the build quality. This device is no exception feels much premium than its all predecessors.Surprisingly light and metal construction at the back gives a better bonus handle to the phone. It’s slim and fits in my hand perfectly well. The rear of the phone has a single-centric camera which is Ok, but in the trend of the dual rear camera, feels needs a change there. The Asus logo at the back was no exceptional. The bottom has a 3.5mm headphone jack and MicroUSB input with the speaker grill. The right side had a sim tray and left side had the volume rocker and the power button which is perfectly tactile.
The antenna band at the rear top and bottom isn’t entirely invisible but kind of gives a unique look at the device. Front of the device has dual front camera circle, and the third ring is the sensor with a small circle of the flash. The mandatory phone receiver grill at the top. I loved the screen used in the device which has a good range of colour and excellent viewing angles yet never felt it’s just a same old 1080p display.
Software and overall performance of the device
The ZenUI is improved a lot which I can see with a device. I don’t know how long they support each device, but it’s perfect to see they have improved a lot. The software experience is the main experience of the device. It isn’t as close to stock android but a different experience. I got used to it easily and more importantly, it was a much stable experience. The device didn’t lag at all as it coupled to Snapdragon 625
Camera
The camera is the key area of the smartphones where people just switch. More importantly the selfie though. Asus Zenfone selfie Pro does much better job in front camera. In detail and portrait the software analyses well and even in low light it tends to do the job well without any complaint. Rear camera was a single lens which did a decent job but I would love to see the dual camera at the back and Asus will totally take the camera game to the next level. They had zenfone zoom which has a perfect camera. In selfie Pro I would love to see something like that. Some things were totally manageable specially they have an amazing camera app. Here are few sample shot.
Verdict
The Asus Zenfone selfie Pro is much capable device. More important it checks through all the needs you might require. The competitors have increased a lot, if Asus offers the good pricing or bundle a good offer in the sale it will be sold for sure. Yet there is no news about the software update for the device yet but it will be soon out though.
