HyperX Alloy FPS Pro Review – The best gaming keyboard for the price
Gaming mechanical keyboards have always been there and still considered to be the best long-term keyboard. Earlier we did review the Corsair K70 Mechanical keyboard. They are my favorite for the gaming and almost everyday companion. Indeed the keyboard is an important aspect. This is a particular type of the keyboard designed only for professionals and for the hardcore and continuous gaming. This is the review of HyperX Alloy FPS Pro, the best gaming keyboard for the price.
Build of the HyperX Alloy FPS Pro
The form factor of this keyboard is something that makes it a professional keyboards out of all. It’s not for the typing enthusiasts since being a professional gaming keyboard, it doesn’t come with the number pad on the right-hand side of the keyboard. This makes the keyboard small to the form factor. To be more precise to the part of the dimension its 36 cm wide and 12.5 cm at taller side. The company does claim about the supreme portability and indeed it does stands perfect to claims.
There is one more differentiating factor which makes this keyboard little stands out. It’s the detachable USB wire. If you are one who carry’s keyboard often from one place to another the detachable keyboard always comes in handy. No need to worry about the damage to cable as you could detach and carry it easily place to place. This is truly thinking from a gamer prospectus . HyperX never disappoints it’s audience.
We tried to tear out each key and find out the cherry MX red keys inside. The key caps are ease to remove but the Inner Cherry MX keys aren’t removable. All the Cherry MX keys are installed over the sturdy metal frame which does ads a weight to the keyboard. The frame does adds bulk but at the same time keyboard feels much premium to its price.
Features and performance
One of the key elements to the HyperX Alloy FPS pro keyboard is the back-lit lighting. You can controls the styles of the lighting and choose from 6 different styles, addition to that you could control the 5 light brightness levels. The only down point is the keyboard has only red light in color. If you are the one looking for something RGB setup this isn’t on that line. I still like the keyboard with Just red because of it’s experience.
On the feature front there is media controls attached from F6 to F11 including volume up and volume down key which comes in handy. The special feature addition is with the F12 key on the HyperX Alloy FPS Pro. When you turn that on it’s starts the gaming mode. The white light indicators starts indicating that game mode has started. It disables the windows key which helps you in accidental press of windows key during intense gaming. If your HyperX Alloy FPS Pro has issue with the windows key not working don’t panic out. It’s the gaming mode which has blocked it.
Keys
Yes I really wanted to speak about the impressive quality of the each key is been used on the keyboard. It looks to like a special care is been taken while crafting each of these key. The aren’t into the deep concave but a perfect concave adds up well on the keyboard. The black coating on each of these key is thick as possible and the words or symbols aren’t printed yet they are passive see through. So it won’t vanish over the long run of this keyboard. Making the keyboards quality outstanding.
Verdict
I’ve used many keyboard and I use to think the keyboard innovation will come to rest for gaming but I think I am totally wrong. With HyperX Alloy FPS pro I must say they have concentrated on each small detail of the Gamers feedback impressively that no one will bring the same complaint over again. It’s listed on Amazon India for Rs 6200 and I think it’s the best pricing for the quality.
