HyperX Fury RGB SSD Review – The RGB Sata SSD for your Build

I must say they have substantial hold and amazing improvement in all the areas the gamers required.
Today we have the HyperX’s first RGB SATA SSD. The HyperX Fury RGB. I must say there is a lot of reasons to get one for your build.

Build of HyperX fury RGB
It’s really not a crucial aspect but when I did unbox the SSD, I was really impressed with it. The metal unibody structure which enclosed the storage unit as well as the RGB light unit. if you have a open rack unit you’ll definitely admire the beauty. The HyperX fury weights 165 grams which roughly three times more weight than a normal 2.5 inch SATA SSD.
The large X shape at the Mid with HyperX logo which lits up are completely attractive with the top and bottom bars blinking with the sync. There are about of 72 LEDs which light up and by default they are set to red colour. If you are completely new to the RGB setup, then for your information the bundled cable of microUSB is just to sync the RGB colour with the other RGB products and 12v RGB supported motherboards. I won’t suggest or try this Sata SSD for laptop with SATA port as it will be attached to the bottom. You can use it as normal SSD for laptop but since it comes with RGB will cost you little higher than a normal SSD. The HyperX Fury RGB comes with a Marvell 88SS1074 SATA 6Gb/s controller and a DRAM chip. HyperX paired the four-channel Marvell controller with Kingston-branded BiCS3 64-layer 3D TLC flash.
Performance of HyperX fury RGB Peformance
The one which we had was the 240 GB variant and we did run CrystalDiskMark 6 on it,. We did multiple runs and here’s we got on average.
Random Write 4K(Q=1, T=1) : 93 MBps
Random Read 4K(Q=1, T=1) : 28 MBps
Randon Write 4K(Q=8, T=8): 341 MBps
Randon Read 4K(Q=8, T=8): 162 MBps
Sequential Write (Q=32, T=1): 525 MBps
Sequential Read (Q=32, T=1): 560 MBps
Overall to the performance I will say in some scenarios it hold completely amazing. Some scenarios it was little low. We also did copy 24 GB folder which took 2 minutes and 15 seconds. Read speed was faster a little to it.
