Build
Even after the such large storage and the fast SSD, Kingston has gone minimal with the packing. The packing is of cardboard and plastic enclosure. Don’t under-rate it with the packing it a beast enclosed in the minimal packing. The SSD comes with thin form factor (80 x 22 x 3.5mm / 9.7 grams). You read it right just 9.7 grams for a 2TB SSD.
At the top there is graphene heat spreader for the heat dissipation. Underneath there are the dedicated soldered storage chip on the PCB which leads us to faster performance. Never remove the graphene covering as it has the Kingston Fury branding on it.
8.5/10 for the build and minimalistic form factor.
Performance
While reading the features you must have seen that the SSD is compatible with the latest Sony PlayStation 5 expansion slot. So that means this is really fast SSD as the latest games on the PS5 Definitely requires a great performance to give the best for the gamer. Even in the Benchmark numbers it doesn’t disappoints us.
CrystalDiskMark Sequential read scored 6630 MB/s in average on our test while the 4K random Write scored 352 MB/s. I really think that’s a complete stellar performance.
Verdict
The SSD also comes with imaging software bundled. Kingston Renegade PCIe 4.0 NVME M2 SSD gets Absolute Gizmos recommendation for must buy for sure.
