Quality of the product
Initially when Kingston unveiled the Kingston workflow, I really thought the product would be plastic type of material with Not so durable form factor. When I received the product for the review, I was totally astonished by looking at the quality of the product. Both the hub and the connectors were made up of the metal. The bottom of the dock station has a double side rubbers pads so it doesn’t slip of the desk and create less noise if there is any vibration.
The rear of the docking station has the USB type C port which gets connected to the machine and There is a power port.
Each small unit has a type C port at the bottom. So mainly you could attach 4 such unit. In the box there is only one-unit other units are to be bought separately. Other two units that is the Workflow SD reader and workflow microSD reader can be bought separately.
The bundled USB type C cable is of the top-notch quality even the adapter is of good quality. For the build quality I will rate it 9.5/ 10
Performance
It is using the Type C gen 2 taking the advantage of the latest tech you could get. Kingston Workflow station doesn’t disappoint you in the data transfer. More importantly it is made for the professionals and I think it does its job perfectly.
Verdict
For the features and looking it for the daily enthusiast and professionals, I think for them is a one time and long-term investment for the workflow. If you are the one looking for the video and photo transfer an amazing dock then Kingston workflow station is just for you. It is little at Pricer side but I think it’s worth for a long-term investment accessory.
