Build of Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro
I think HTC one m8 really changed what a flagship device should be, it should be metal and so as the lenovo also changed its design from the last year’s flagship to completely metal design. Just adding metal doesn’t mean its a good device, I mean The looks of lenovo Vibe Z2 pro were so amazing that it totally looks like a professional phablet to hold in hand. Its a gentlemens phone same like the HTC one m8 and not a single plastic feel like samsung galaxy S5. Being complete metal design, the device is a unibody construction with one side lock button which was exactly placed above it was the SIM card tray, Other side to it was the Volume rocker bit hard and placed at top. Top side of the phone had a 3.5mm headphone jack at bottom the micro-USB charging point. Metal made phones slip out of hands that what people complain about but with the Lenovo Vibe Z2 I guarantee you will never feel this. The side slanted edges made a perfect inward side angles which perfectly increase your comfort to hold such a large device with one hand. Being 6-inch its definite that you would not use the phone with single handed. What made device annoying that it had a purporated or blown out of body camera something like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus or Karbonn Sparkle V android one phone. It would be annoying when you like to keep the phone on table and do messaging the phone keeps on bumping around. That’s alll with the build I was really impressed with the build quality of device.
Operating System
The lenovo Vibe Z2 came with same OS which we seen in Vibe Z , It was the updated version Kitkat, Which really feels a light OS then Jelly bean. If you never used lenevo Smartphones then operating system is completely inspired from Apples iOS or Xiaomi’s MIUI the same thing like no app drawers. widgets and icons all on home screen. The more important was the gestures which we really need to enable it from setting menu.
How to enable Gestures in Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro ?
- Go to settings menu
- Swipe from the Right edge to left
- you get a whole new feature menu with amazing features to try out comes in.
- Go in 3D gestures and make it ON (all)
- Then go in home screen swipe the hand however you want that’s the way gestures will be enabled.
We really tried the Gestures, Micro Screen, Pocket mode(Always default ON) These were pretty good but not accurate much but sometimes gets annoying inside Apps except the pocket mode. So I basically kept them All off. But due to such things that really made me felt OS is in Beta mode and Lack the amazing experience of flagship device.
Performance
Performance of the Lenovo Vibe Z2 pro is where you will never disappoint in it. I would say that’s really amazing , the Processor takes complete advantage of the 2k display. We benchmarked it in Antutu score which was about to 40,000 pretty high then the LG G3, but also not the Top most. I would in nenamark 2 it managed to score 59.9 fps which is the highest over there. We played many games like the Aspalt 8, Shadowgun deadzone, Dead trigger every game rendered graphics amazingly. Every lens flare, perfect colour reproduction was done by the 2K display.
Camera
I think the camera was pretty decent. It captured pretty decent images not that good what I really expected both in the case of front and rear camera you could look at camera samples. At day light it captured amazing photos but decent in low light conditions. For the front camera I think Vibe z had a better clarity in front cam than that of the Vibe Z2 pro.
Battery
I think battery battery would definite reason you would pick the lenovo vibe z2 pro as it comes with 4000 mAh huge battery but don’t forget again theres huge pixel density screen which keeps on eating the juices. At normal use Like texting , social networking, emailing over 3G and Wifi I got about of whole 2 days battery life. When I used google maps while driving for about 2 hours from 100 the charge dipped to 55 percent which was good still it lasted the whole day.
Final Verdict
I think some areas it did really good, impressed us and some area not that’s pretty much every smartphone does. Here’s its actual competition at price point is the LG G3, I think that LG G3 was a bit better than Lenovo Vibe Z2 in terms of the smartphone experince and camera. Again its a matter of choices you do watch more movies and click less pictures then Lenovo Vibe Z2 is must buy for you.
