Build of Oppo Neo 5

The Build of Oppo neo 5 was one of the best I have seen in the budget smartphone. The Phone had a glass both at front as well as back which reminds me of sony xperia smartphones but at the budget price point it will be the only smartphone company to offer such a premium look to the smartphone. It did had a metal shampered edges at the side which did give a grip to the hand. The Volume rocker at the side and power button at other side were good and feels great at the hands. The rear panel was fingerprint magnet due to glass, it often gets oily which made me felt to clean each and every time to retain its beauty. The Camera at rear was placed at top left corner with huge circle. 4.5 inch was small form factor that made the oppo neo 5 fit inside the pocket easily. Overall to the build of the  Oppo neo 5 was amongst the best in any budget smartphone.

Software of Oppo Neo 5

Oppo neo 5 came with Color OS and the it was based over the Android 4.4.2 Kitkat which is a bit disappointment and no other words regarding the software update and I think Oppo should look at this first because the customers loves to see software updates. Still I Would say the ColourOS gaved a different Look to android and customization to limited set of themes which were good. Also the Operating system was perfectly stable for day to day work which is a good point for this phone. Overall if it could push more software updates it could grab even more customers to their offering of the phone.

Performance of Oppo Neo 5

The snapdragon 400 powered Oppo Neo 5 seems to get a decent antutu score in our test it came about 18,695 and for quadrant it came about 7256 which is decent and you could play games like asphalt at medium with good frame rate. The only part is its 1900mAh battery which drains faster while you game and I think oppo could try to fit a bigger one for power users. Overall it was the good performace not the very best at that budget and decent one.

Verdict

Overall Oppo Neo 5 is a decent phone with Good performance and the Best build quality to be seen for the phone. Also Offline availablity of the phone makes it better to reach different customer for a country like India.
