Vivo V5 Plus Special IPL Edition First Look

The biggest T20 league competition of the nation Indian Premier League (IPL) is in its tenth edition. Vivo launched the Vivo V5Plus Limited Edition in the country on 4 April. Vivo is also the official sponsor of the IPL 2017. Hence, launching a special edition of the device makes a lot of sense.

 

The Vivo V5Plus Limited Edition will be offered with an exclusive Matte Black color option. On top of that, the special edition device will have a Vivo IPL logo etched on the rear. The cricket-focused theme featuring a Vivo IPL logo is also planned for the latest Vivo smartphones.

The original V5 Plus was hailed as a “Perfect Selfie” smartphone. The special edition is no exception either. The new device includes a dual selfie camera setup. On the front, it features a 20MP Sony IMX376 sensor along with a secondary 8MP snapper of 5P lens.  taking pictures in low-light conditions? The V5 Plus has sorted this out with “selfie flash”. On the rear, it tacks on a 16MP camera with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture.The smartphone boosts Android 7.0 Marshmallow with FuntouchOS 3.0 slapped on top. A 3,055mAh battery Juices up the device. The scanner is very sensitive and responsive. The company claims that it unlocks the device in just 0.02 seconds.

The Vivo V5Plus Limited Edition has the same hardware found in the original Vivo V5Plus. The original device was launched in India back in January this year with a price tag of Rs.27,980 while the IPL special edition is priced at Rs. 25990. This limited edition smartphone is a great buy for cricket lovers who would love to showcase their love & support for the IPL. The selfie addicts gave a huge thumbs up to the original V5 Plus, now that its offered in a new premium black look at a rather attractive price, it is sure to lure customers to reconsider to buy this phone if they initially didn’t.
