Today we’ve had the Asus ROG GL504 also called Asus ROG Strix SCAR II which comes with RGB, and I think it’s the best of its kind. Let’s proceed and you tell me what do you think.

Build of the Asus ROG GL504
I’ve always praised the build quality and looks of the all the Asus ROG line-up of the products and no doubt the Asus ROG Strix Scar II GL 504 won’t disappoint you. When I hold it for the first time, the metal construction was cool in temperature but surely it was one the highest quality I’ve ever seen in the windows laptop. The ROG series is Aimed to push the Windows race to premium gaming laptop like no one else. It will shake the whole ecosystem and the possibility of everything.
The Rectangular top construction with the Huge ROG logo which has the RGB lighting is the only one I could recall. There is no other laptop. There’s a huge notch at the bottom which is kept for the air vents to blow. On the Notch the embrace of Republic of gamers makes the owner feel proud about it. I don’t want to talk about the dimension of the laptop because this thing is premium and beautiful beyond my words or video could describe it.
One side of the laptop has the most amount of the ports you could find. The charging port from the top part, RJ45 Lan port, Lock port, HDMI port, USB 3.0 port, USB 3.1 Type C port and Mic/Headphone jack combo port. The front side had the large RGB LED strip which glows as per the logo and keyboard. I use to love working in the night with this beast, little Asus ROG GL504. The other side had a single USB port.
This laptop is the first laptop I’ve seen with the RGB backlit chiclet keyboard deign which is unique in its kind. 1.8mm travel distance which is really short and comfortable. I totally miss the deep clicks due to the keycap curve was 0.25mm. The keyboard is of good quality. It wasn’t pressy deep but a perfect one. It has the marked WASD which makes the work easy for the gamers while playing the games. There were few hot keys for Volume UP/ Down/Mute and ROG gaming center button. There were 2x 1W speakers with Smart AMP technology which were the side firing speakers which were decent enough.
Performance of Asus GL504
This is the best part to check and more importantly let’s start what the my computer properties show. This is the base area you get to check when you view or have hands on with the laptop.
The more important part of area to display exact hardware is to check the DirectX diagnostic which showcase the model in detail and more importantly the graphics card details.
If you want to cores and technology name and better details of the core i7 8750H I’ve attached the screenshot of CPU-Z which clears every scenario to you.
As for CPU, the same scenario with the dual GPU.
If you are curious to know the HDD details and benchmark the series of the screenshot will showcase the same. Also the SSD score in the benchmark has scored brilliant due to the M2 one. We found that the 5400 RPM HDD was of the seagate used in the laptop
If you are curious for the geekbench scrore and the cinebench score for the Asus ROG GL504 here it is.
The beast is truly power hungry but at the same time perform like the champ. I will say I did notice during the heavy performance the fan boosts high and can be noisy. The unique fan construction of the ROG series makes it sound cool and not harsh. So out of points in all the scenarios to Asus in that.
