Build of the Asus X507UA

First thing from the laptop I do expect it should be light weight and a good processing speed for the daily utility task. The Asus X507UA tends out to deliver it. It weights 1.68KG. When you open the lid of the laptop you notice the thin bezels of the screen and it looks much promising and somehow make you feel to use it for long time.

Asus X507

Even at the budget the laptop doesn’t feels and look like a plastic. The eye catching brushed Icicle gold finish is the thing you will not find in any other laptop.

A style form factor for a laptop is taken well perfectly. This is a price point where I think most youth purchases for there study and movie time works. Overall all it matches that level of expectations.

Hardware and performace

From the specification sheet you must have noted that the specs are totally good. The only problem with the budget laptops are we have almost none of them offers SSD variant at a good cheap price. I will highly suggest to swap the 5400 RPM HDD with any SATA SSD which performs just like a fly.  If you never used an SSD even the 5400 RPM HDD feels super fast.

CrystalDiskMark Score of 5400 RPM HDD in Asus X507

The above screenshot refers to the benchmark of the 5400 RPM HDD. It depends on what type of daily task would be but some how the processor handles well.

CPU-Z CPU Tab for Asus X507

The Intel core i3 6006U Skylake is clearly seen which runs at 14nm technology clocked at 2.0 GHz. Dual core processor but at budget I won’t complaint it. X86 core based processor handles office apps and browsing super well.

CPU-Z memory tab

The 8GB ram was a single channel one and 2400 MHz which had no compromise in it.

CPU-z Benchmark

We just tried to benchmark the score for the CPU-Z and for the single thread it turned out to be 165.4 and multi-core 561.4 for a entry level laptop. It turned out to be well.

GPU-Z

I wanted to note the Integrated graphics inside the Asus X507 and good to see even a 14nm GPU inside the machine with 7.2 GPixel/s filter rate.  Overall all hardware and performance combination as our expect run was totally perfect and on point in most cases.

On the touch pad it does comes with a fingerprint sensor in case if you want to use it as a complete personal laptop.

Charging

It comes with a fast charging. It does charge 60 percent in 49 minutes, the 3 cell battery is claimed to last longer. With the i3 processor of 14nm it does survive well.  The laptop has Input and output voltage protection. Over current protection is also available.

Verdict

The laptop which starts as Rs 27,990 is totally brilliant pricing for it. It’s competitive enough but I will also love to see an SSD variant as well somewhere at Rs 30,000 price bracket. Absolute Gizmos definitely gives a thumbs up to the laptop.
