Build of Coolpad Cool 3 Plus

I’ve used many phones within all sorts of the budget lineup. Gradient colour phones I’ve only seen in the mid and high budget range. Somehow Coolpad managed it bring at entry-level, making it stand out of all the brands. The polycarbonate unibody gradient structure with rounded corners turns head even for the entry-level. The phone is exceptionally light compared to all the phones, and you notice it when you hold it for the first time.

I can easily say its the best looking device at the budget cost. The back is a fingerprint magnet, and you will always clean it multiple times a day. A TPU case included in the box helps a little to protect the case.

There’s the headphone jack at the top of the phone; the right side has the volume rocker and power button. The bottom has speaker and mic grill with the MicroUSB charging port. The left side has the dual Sim tray with the second slot as a hybrid.

Software and Performance

When I was setting up the device, I noticed the device supports 5 GHz WiFi. It was shocking to see because some of the mid-rangers tend not to have it. It comes with custom skin over the Android P. I will share some benchmarks screenshots with you below

Camera and Battery Life

The 13 MP single shooter captured good photos in daylight. The images produced were having good dynamic range but with little over contrast. The phone struggled with Artificial and low light situations. The image produced a lot of grainy images but looking for the price, It’s hard to complain. The front camera also showed similar results with good edge detection for the portrait.

The battery life of 3000 mAh in Coolpad cool 3 plus is decent. It will only last 1 working day and you might have to charge before the end of 24 hours itself. The usage will vary As I’m a heavy video user and social media user to it totally depends.

Verdict

The Coolpad cool 3 plus is definitely cool looking phone which packs in a lot of the feature from mid and high tiers. I’ll definitely give it a pick depends on the user.
