Build
It is natural that it will borrow some of the key design elements from its more expensive sibling Honor 10. It does lack and the whole construction of the design is with plastic for the body. The honor 10 lite doesn’t take out looks or the ergonomics required for the great phone at the budget price. On the
The right-hand side has the power button and the volume rocker button. The top has the Hybrid dual Sim tray and the noise cancelling microphone. The bottom has the headphone jack, MicroUSB Charging port, Speaker grill and microphone for calling. The rear has the blue side curved edges which give the smartphone a perfect grip. The grip is excellent, but the shiny glass-like plastic attracts fingerprint smudges in 10-15 seconds of usage, You are going to rock on this phone 100 percent of the times inside the case. They have bundled a TPU case which does manage to be well.
The camera at the rear has a minimalist bump making the phone little uncomfortable but in the case the bump just disappears. In the design and build quality wise I will rate the honor 10 lite 8.5 out of 10. Its an optimal use of the perfect design which is light weight and powerful enough.,
Hardware and Performance
India is definitely a critical market for all the smartphone industry and when company itself has its own two devices in under Rs 20,000 price bracket. A company which has its own Honor 8X in the same price point and little more price to it is the Honor 10 lite. Kirin 710 makes the honor 10 lite worth it.
The Kirin 710 HiSilicon is a 64 bit octa-core mid range chip with 12 nm Architecture. It is one of the kind which packs in 4 A-73 2.2 GHz big cores for the high intense task and 4 A53 1.7 Ghz cores for normal or low intense task.
The Processor has the support for 802.11 a/b/g/n, 2.4 GHz support. There is no support for 5 GHz Wifi. The Bluetooth 4.2 is supported by the Honor 10 Lite. Talking about the LTE Modem the Downlink supports Cat-12 600 Mbps while the Uplink supports Cat-13, 150 Mbps. We’ve already shared the screenshots of the CPU-Z for more hardware details.
If you are the one who is a geek to know the raw performance test lover, then we did run a few benchmarks. Antutu scored 107000. Indeed it could defeat only 20 per cent of the users but for a budget phone, I won’t complain much.
We also ran Geekbench Pro scores, and on a single core it managed to score 1292, and on multi-core, it scored 3977 after multiple runs. PUBG at the medium setting worked optimally well at high I did notice some of the frame drops but not in case of the medium.
Software
The phone has an EMUI 9 which is Honor’s own customised and developed operating system. I think from the start it has become matured and well polished. It somehow wants to offer the best of its own without the third party. It is good, but I won’t say it best. The optimisation for the operating system is excellent. It doesn’t lack anything, or in day to day use it won’t lag. I got some minor lags, especially in the incoming call. The experience of the software is overall good.
It does add extra features which you might consider to use it something like the dual apps, GPU turbo 2.0 for gaming, AI E-commerce, Huawei Share, Phone Clone, Memo and many more. The extra add-ons definitely made the experience little better. For software department I will rate it 7 out of 10.
Battery
The Honor 10 Lite has 3400 mAh Lithium-polymer battery (According to CPU-Z). The operating system is at a more strong side to manage, but I will say it is still optimized optimally well. The phone manage to stay in juice for a day but at the regular use of social media, watching movies, texting, and calling. For an avid gamer, carrying a power bank is a necessary task; it will completely drain out before the end of the day.
The interest of the numbers so sometimes I managed to get 4.5 hours to 5 hours of screen on time before it was completely drained and kept on charging. The device doesn’t support fast charging yet in the package it does pack a 10W charger.
Camera
I won’t talk much about the camera aspect and let you judge the image given below. The camera struggled in the artificial and low light images. The daylight images were pleasing enough for social media for both the rear and front camera
Verdict
The device comes with 3 variants 3GB RAM/ 32 GB Storage for Rs 11,999 , 4GB RAM / 64 GB storage for Rs. 13,999, 6GB RAM/ 64 GB Storage for Rs. 17,999. From pricing point of view I will say that the 4GB ram varaint surely is the most best value for money and 6GB ram varaint is priced higher for just 2 GB extra ram and no extra storage which doesn’t make sense. I will give this smartphone a pick for the gamers in mind.
