LG G Pro 2 Review – Should you upgrade to it ?

LG G Pro 2, the successor of the LG G pro line-up designed for the people who only needs a phablet. That’s an speciality of LG G series. This time the LG G pro 2 was completely the phone made from the success of LG G 2, which is one of the best and fastest phone from the LG. The  looks of the phone were not so different than the LG G2. What makes it different from the LG G2, we will discuss it below and make a complete point to you.

BUILD Of LG G Pro 2

I can’t proceed without talking the build of LG G Pro 2. The Successor for LG G pro line up the G Pro 2 design is totally inspired from the LG G2. The Same 3 buttons all at back below that huge 13 MP camera. A matt like back is awesome. If we compare to LG G2 , the LG G pro 2 is huge but the design totally resembles to the LG G2’s innovative design. The difference comes when LG G2 was unibody design but not the LG G Pro 2 as its back is removable, Also the battery is removable and it comes with SD card expandable. People complained in LG G2 the back is finger print capturer but hats off to LG with its design in LG G Pro 2 they changed to chasis design and they changed it. I guess no one would lean from their customer this faster.

Well LG has its handset famous for not just back button but the edge to edge screen, when you hold the device it looks like you hold a big screen right in your hand. The device feels so light, I was unable to believe  the device such light and slim even powerful at the same time. The noticeable thing is no buttons on the side each side is plain. All button lies at the back below the camera. If you think its weird those back button placement then to be frank at start it feels weird but in 1 or 2 days you will get use to it.

Software

The version the LG G pro 2 came out of box was Android 4.4.2 kitkat nothing new to say I feel it same quiet more smoother the kitkat was light but the smoothness was more better. The user interface was not so impressive but you can fall in love with the fast user interface and fastest multi-tasking. Well in LG G3 it looks they have fixed it, this is the reason while reviewing I was just got in love with LG G3. Well Hope LG G Pro 2 would get the update of it soon. We don’t have any official word from LG, but we think LG would definately do as its flagship device. In the bloat-ware part the disappointment was with thinkviewer which just view files we can’t edit it. I downloaded the quick office in-0rder to edit it. The top bar and bottom bar were made transparent it was all because of its update which changes according to the apps. Even after bloatware the internal space was 9 GB available for use out of 16GB.

Gaming

If its the device which price huge in India. Then its power beast and they are known for also its hardcore gaming. The benchmark are shown below also we tested few games like asphalt 8, Riptide GP 2 at high graphics they didn’t turn up to lag they were buttery smooth also you can multi-task more than one game that’s how the operating system is tweaked in LG G Pro 2. Camera

This phone never disappoints you in camera. I am impressed and its better to LG G2. The first thing I noticed was the video camera as it supports 4k (4096x 2160) resolution for video and I have made camera video sample too for the video. The 13 MP shooter with OIS+ does awesome things in camera, the focusing was good. Almost zero shutter lag because of the processor. The OIS+ was ok but there is no noice cancellation as while recording it captured lots of noise the raw file as it was captured I uploaded to youtube and you could have a look at it.


 

Verdict

Few points I said above to LG G2 is 4G LTE, 4k video resolution support  ,bigger screen and External SD card support. Well If you are thinking to upgrade you G2 then LG G pro 2 will not make such difference in India as we don’t have proper 4G and we use in major 1080p TV as 4K equipments are costly. If you don’t have G2 and thinking to buy LG G pro 2 then I will say wait for LG G3 its on the way in India and its more better to LG G pro 2.
