Atom Ultimus Review – A Budget 1080p Smartphone

Atom mobiles an Indian mobile manufacturing company, launched in DEC 2013 launched 3 phones and Ultimus is there flagship device for the competition in 2014. A completely new company and people doesn’t trust a new company at start. That’s the major part what atom has to go with but first thing comes to mind when person like me is investing in a smartphone what about service center is there any ? Well  we contacted them and we had talk there service is currently at your door steps if there’s any problem they come to your door to fix it or to take the device and they claim it to be fast and better service. Ultimus is one of the budget smartphone with 1080p screen. Our Last device which we reviewed was iPad Air

Build

Ultimus  build quality is totally plastic, I had a black one from front its beauty is so amazing no one can guess which phone it is. The black beauty at looks feel amazing but when you see the back its glossy texture as Samsung Galaxy S4or S3 which can easily get finger print on it. It comes with flip cover inside the box, the flip cover’s Flip is thick enough to protect and keep the screen itself clear. The ultimus bundles with decent quality in-ear headphones. The phone has a hard volume key at one side and other side the screen On and Off button. The three feather touch button at front which are home button ,back button, and menu button. The placement of back button is really alternate in normal phones the back button is at left here it is at right. So in start anyone will face some problem for start in normal android user. At top the 3.5mm jack and at bottom at microUSB female connector. At the back the 13mp shooter Cam with Single led Flash Above Atom Logo and a single speaker grill for voice.

 

Camera

13 mp shooter is not so impressive its just decent at the point Not so good. It has a default camera app and at 13 Mp it shoots 16:9 images. The default camera app has HDR mode, Face detection mode,Panoroma , Multi angle, Scene mode, Auto smile Mode. The settings pane has GPS , Zero Shutter , colour , image mode etc Over all it also shoots a decent image but I think competitors are way ahead than this quality of image.

Wrap-UP

We didn’t write anything about the ultimus gaming beacuse it really decent at it. When we tried high-end games like asphalt 8, frontline commander  The phone use to heat up a lot. All though I can come to words the phone is completely decent it looks amazing on paper but the software optimisation is not upto the mark.
